RAF Funds Raised

RAF Boulmer’s Charities Committee has presented three cheques to the Station’s nominated charities after a highly successful year of fund-raising.

Donations of £3,389.16 were each made to the Boulmer Volunteer Rescue Service (BVRS) Lifeboat and Gosforth-based St Oswald’s Hospice, while the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) received a cheque for £1,694.58.
BVRS secretary Claire Bowron said: “We’re immensely grateful to receive this donation from RAF Boulmer. We are a small independent organisation and it’s difficult to raise funds in this economic climate. This money will allow us to buy some much-needed and vital training equipment for our volunteers.”
